Ponnuru on Same-Sex Marriage

Sure, there are people who have always defended bigotry and prejudice, but you don't usually see it in a young, educated person. That makes the black-is-white argument of Ramesh Ponnuru all that more ridiculous:
But nobody can plausibly claim that Iowans meant to ratify same-sex marriage when they approved a constitution including equal-protection language.
In other words, Iowans did not mean "equal" when they voted for "equal." Sheesh.

Yeah pretty ridiculous.

It is funny that this whole argument is simply over a word....marriage. Most are not opposed to civil unions that would give the same rights to same sex couples as heterosexual couples.

So it seems the debate is about the word marriage....such a petty argument.
